First, I’d like to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there! I hope that you have a nice relaxing day being pampered by your families!

Second, I would like to share a layout that I created in the wee hours this morning. I’ve been wanting to play with Teresa Collin’s line for the longest time, but my mojo has been on hiatus.

The journaling may be hard to read, because my handwriting sucks that bad! I’m trying to break myself from writing in all caps, I’ve been doing it for years! The short story is, this is the first family photographs we took since Tahlia and Isaiah joined our family. It is also the first time that we’ve taken vintage photographs. The photo session was fun and very memorable! I’ll be doing a 2nd page to this LO sometime today (hopefully!).

It’s now May 10th and guess what? We got about 4 inches of the white stuff last night! This ND climate is crazy! It was sunny and 60 degrees just two days ago! Will this madness ever stop?!

We don’t have anything planned for this weekend. I was hoping to take Jayda to the movies but it turns out all the good stuff comes out next weekend. I really would like to see Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. I was such a huge fan of the books when I was a kid! They were never as big as LOTR but I still hold them near and dear!

I have so much to do today! I need to finish some cards and get my studio in order. I have too many supplies, there’s stuff everywhere! It’s hard to create anything in such a messy environment!

Oh and exciting news, I just signed up to be a demonstrator for Stampin’ UP! I can’t wait to receive my kit. It should be here Monday! If you’ve never heard of SU!, I’ve added some links to my header and sidebar…check it out!

A few of my closest online buds already know this, but just incase we’ve missed each other on messenger…here’s the official announcement.

I will be deploying in the middle of August, hopefully returning sometime in January. Yes, it will be hard being away from the family, especially the twins…this will be the first time I’ve deployed since they were born 2 years ago. As for J, I deployed twice before when she was just a baby. Now that she’s 7 and she hears about mommies & daddies deploying at school (gotta love those base schools), she is more aware of what the term “desert” and “deployment” mean. She knows where I’m going, she knows what’s going on. It’s definitely a moment where I have to be strong for her. We have a good support system here, so I’m sure Mont will be ok being a single daddy for a few months.

I’m in the process of making some mini-albums for the kiddos and one to take for me. Once they’re all complete, I’ll post photos here. I just need to find my photoshop CD so I can install it on my laptop! My big computer is still in the box it was shipped in. Yes I know, we’re really slow at unpacking. Haha! Enjoy your Sunday!
